"We just arrived in town after a week long of recordings in Konya amongst Sufis, and the name of Çaglar already resonated two times - 'a special recommendation' from two different friends. You don't hesitate much when it happens, and we organized a little film with Çaglar at Nick's house, overlooking the neighbourhood of Cihangir and the Bosphorus in the back. The magnificence of Istanbul... Çaglar took his qanun in the cold december wind, the light was falling with grace at this time of the day. Seagulls were flying around us, one take only, frozen hands. We got in for a second song, this time a cover of legendary Aleko Bacanos, a loving melody to bring along our next adventures."
