"Rabih called me a few days before I believe. "Jessica is in town!". She was scheduled to play at his marvelous Morphine Raum venue (the most exciting space for experimental music in Berlin nowadays). I sent her a message, she told me to pass by in the afternoon to try a little recording. I was thrilled - finally, a recording with Jessica. It's been years that I follow her movements, from being a longtime (and massive) fan of the Silver Mount Zion - her Montréal post-everything ensemble with Efrim Menuck and company that I saw a zillion times in the 2000s, to her solo releases, which have been weaving a very special landscape directly from her heart. Highly recommended. Enjoy this simple take, this dance around her instrument and effects - and it's not often that I would even encourage the viewer to just become a listener and close his eyes... this is music for the imagination, music for your own images."
