a film by Vincent Moon
Ninth release in the ◣sound sequence◥ collection
Bottles, cans, balloons, pipes. A compressor, microphones. A control station with 24 small taps as potentiometers. In a dreamlike night, objects wake up, animated by the airflows blown into their bronchi. Coming to life, they sway, creak, move, whistle, roar... and give voice to a music that combines abstraction, evocations, naturalistic, archaic or complex rhythms... The device generates sounds by setting everyday objects in motion. It can deliver the unpredictable to whoever plays with it at any time, as if the objects had their own life. In fact, improvising is essential to react to the unexpected, to use it, even to provoke it.
