Watch the new live video of Seun Kuti & Egypt 80’s ‘Emi Aluta’, featured on their album ‘Heavier Yet (Lays The Crownless Head)’ that hit the streets last October 4th via Record Kicks / Secretly Distribution.

The video, filmed during the Brazilian leg of his tour by French director Vincent Moon at Galpão Ladeira das Artes in Rio de Janeiro, captures all the raw energy and rebellious spirit of the song, a hallmark of Seun Kuti & Egypt 80’s live performances. According to Seun, ‘Emi Aluta’ is “a song about struggle (Aluta means struggle) that pays homage to all the great revolutionaries”. On Seun Kuti’s new album ‘Heavier Yet’ the song is spiced by the featuring of Zambian singer, rapper and songwriter, Sampa The Great, called “one of best and most innovative lyricists of our time”.
